As a Social Media Coordinator with Lucas Oil, I analyzed their social media pages and noticed that their testimonial graphics were too busy. Testimonials are very important for their social, as brand trust is a leading factor in gaining new customers. I redesigned the template to emphasize the product bottle and highlight just a line from the quotation. The full testimonial is used as a caption.

The prompt for this project asked us to create three items in a line of beverages from a company that we came up with. My company, called PINCH, makes canned cocktails. Their slogan is “In a pinch, grab a pinch, and add a pinch of fresh lime juice.” I designed the cans and boxes for Margaritas, Mai Tais, and Moscow Mules.

Schoolwork

The objective of this project was to create a full typeface and then use it in something else we designed. I was inspired by the letters in my logo to create a bubbly, quirky typeface that reminded me of The Beatles’ “Yellow Submarine.” I created a hand-washing timer inspired by this song and its music video.

Every year, Loyola’s Music Program holds two holiday concerts. Lessons and Carols is more traditional, held in the Madonna Della Strada Chapel on campus. The Chapel is shown in my poster artwork, along with the three wisemen. Joyola, on the other hand, features more modern holiday music. I designed these posters to look like an “ugly sweater” that could be worn during the holidays. Made using Illustrator.

Schoolwork, Contest Winner

The purpose of this project was to research a topic related to Loyola University’s Hunger Week and make a poster to effectively communicate the chosen issue. I chose to focus on food waste, particularly the waste created by so-called “ugly” produce. I wanted to create a poster that was simple yet eye-catching. My poster was chosen to be displayed in the Hunger Week Exhibition.

The AOA was using a generic webinar template that was starting to become very repetitive on their pages. They wanted their graphics to be more eye-catching and recognizable. We worked to establish a color-coding system that signaled the category of webinar (i.e. green was used for business-related classes), and new images were used that corresponded to the class content. Made using Illustrator.

Using colorful event brand guidelines, I was asked to create social media posts to encourage osteopathic students to apply for a research scholarship. Made using Illustrator.

The American Osteopathic Association wanted to share graphics on their social media platforms that celebrated many kinds of motherly figures for Mother’s Day. I used colors from their company brand guidelines to create distinctive but harmonious graphics. In the busy environment of social media, I aimed for my graphics to be bold and colorful. I wanted the overall look to be simple so my illustrations would stand out, as the people they represent were what the AOA wanted to emphasize. I formatted graphics sized for Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

I worked with the Media Relations Director to develop captions for the posts, which read as follows:

“Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, aunties, grandmothers and more who care for us every single day. This weekend we honor you. Please share a photo of your family with us so we may celebrate your incredible contributions. Tag #AOAfamily.”

“The role of mom takes many shapes. Today, we salute all the amazing mothers, grandmothers and caretakers who make our families strong and healthy. How are you celebrating Mother’s Day? Share an image with the osteopathic community by tagging #AOAfamily.”

The American Osteopathic Association hosts an annual medical conference called the Osteopathic Medical Education Conference and Exposition (OMED). After an initial marketing toolkit had been finalized and launched, the challenges of COVID-19 forced the AOA to move OMED online. My objective was to recreate the OMED advertisements to reflect this online setting. Shown here: box ad, Facebook cover, animated banner ad, and banner ad. Made using Illustrator.

The prompt for this project was to choose an existing company and create a mailed magazine mixed with a catalog. Elements from both were expected, which can be seen here in the combination of article spreads and spreads featuring items for sale. I chose Crate and Barrel and made a holiday gift guide for kids. My pages are themed around different aspirations kids might have. Made using Photoshop and InDesign.
